Marching Band Highlights 09/14/25

Authored by: Nicole Walker – Marching Band Coordinator – phbandmarching@gmail.com

Hopefully everyone is having a restful Sunday after a busy week!  The band did a GREAT job during the Homecoming Parade and game on Friday night and put in lots of hard work during their Saturday practice.  We are excited to see them perform this weekend at their 2nd competition of the season at Carroll High School!

Here are a few reminders and a list of some of the things we have coming up:

  • Reminders/Announcements:
    • UNIFORM INFORMATION FOR INSTRUMENTALISTS:  We have had many students who have needed socks and gloves at the football games and Brownsburg. Those items will be charged to student’s MMO accounts.  Please check with your students to make sure they have everything they need for each performance!  They are welcome to leave gloves and marching shoes in their garment bags.
    • BEATS & TREATS – THURSDAY SOCIAL HOUR:  It was GREAT seeing so many parents last Thursday during practice!!  We will be out again this week with drinks and snacks during the last hour (7:30-8:30) of practice on Thursday night.  Come out and join us and see what these INCREDIBLE kids are up to!!
    • SHOW GEAR AND YARD SIGNS:  If you placed an order for show gear or a yard sign you can pick up your orders at Door 2W on Tuesday after practice
    • BAND CALENDAR  The best way to stay up to date on Marching Band events is to check the calendar often! The online calendar is updated regularly and can be found here.
  • Calendar Items:
    • Sept. 19th & 21st – Marching Band Photos Please sign up for a time here. All order forms and payment must be submitted so that orders can be processed. This is especially important so that we have the photo buttons and senior banners as soon as possible.
      • Please click here to download and print an order form. Order forms will be available on Friday & Sunday as well.

 Sept. 20th – Carroll Invitational

We appreciate all of your hard work and your time donated to the band!

It takes the help of many, many family members and friends to successfully put on each performance. With teams for props, food, bus chaperones, pit crew, spirit team & transportation (just to name a few) there is a place for everyone to pitch in and be involved. Thank you for all you do to help our students and the band program. Please make sure you get those background check forms completed and sent to phbandvol@gmail.com.  As always, we can’t do this without your help.
