Authored by: Nicole Walker – Marching Band Coordinator – phbandmarching@gmail.com

The band put on a GREAT performance at the Football Game on Friday night and some SERIOUSLY hard work during their Saturday practice.  We are SO EXCITED to see them perform next weekend at their first ISSMA event of the season!!  For now – we hope they get some WELL DESERVED rest over the next few days!

Here are a few reminders and a list of some of the things we have coming up:

  • LETTERMAN JACKETS – Ordering for Letterman jackets is now open. To order a jacket you must meet these two requirements:
    • You must have marched a minimum of two years (including this year) to earn a letter and qualify to order a letter jacket.
    • Your MMO Band Account must be paid in full ($0 balance due) to order.

Order form & deposit due by Oct. 17th. A $100 deposit must be placed with order.

-Email phbandmarching@gmail.com with questions.

-Jackets will be available in the band room beginning after practice on Sept. 30th for students to try on and will remain there through Oct. 17th. Please have your student try them on over a sweatshirt to get an accurate size for winter.

An Extra Special Thank You To:

  • The Football Food Team who fed the band at the game on Friday night!!
  • The Uniform Team and Parents who helped with Band Photos on Friday and Saturday – we couldn’t have done it without you!

We appreciate all of your hard work and your time donated to the band!

It takes the help of many, many family members and friends to successfully put on each performance. With teams for props, food, bus chaperones, pit crew, spirit team & transportation (just to name a few) there is a place for everyone to pitch in and be involved. Thank you for all you do to help our students and the band program. Please make sure you get those background check forms completed and sent to phbandvol@gmail.com.  As always, we can’t do this without your help.
