The band had a GREAT performance at the Homecoming Game on Friday night and put in some SERIOUSLY hard work at their Saturday practice! We are SO EXCITED to see them perform next Saturday at the ISSMA Invitational!
Coming Up:
- October 1st – Beats & Treats. It has been so amazing to see so many parents at practice on Thursday evenings – KEEP IT UP! We’ll be there every Thursday 7:30-8:30pm. Bring a lawn chair and sit at the band lot or come into the stadium and grab a seat!! Join us and witness the unbelievable work the band puts into their show and make some new friends!
- October 3rd – ISSMA Invitational at Whiteland

- Competition days take a lot of volunteers to make it all come together, which means we need YOU! Please click here to sign up to volunteer at one or more of the upcoming competitions.
- Feeding this many students and staff also requires a lot of help! Please click here to donate towards dinner and a snack for the Marching Arabians.
- *We are needing a few parents that are also staff/faculty at SMCSC to serve as bus chaperones. If you are available, please let us know!*
- October 9th – Football Game/Senior Night
- Students and their Families will line up at the entrance to the field near the concession stand immediately following the bands half-time performance. They will enter the field as the announcer says the student’s name.
- SENIORS – Please click here to complete the Questionnaire for Senior Night.
- After being announced on the field, Seniors and their families are invited to a small reception held in the main hallway of the school for photos and refreshments.
- Seniors are welcome to leave at that time or may return to finish playing with the band for this final football game.
In Other News:
- Social Media With the season in full swing we want to remind you to please not share any video or audio recordings of the show on any social media platform. If you have already shared, we kindly ask you to remove any recordings of music or drill – this is very important. The reason behind this is the band pays for the right to perform the music composer’s work and the rights to that music are pretty narrow – they only apply to public performances of the Marching Arabians. If a social media video was found the band could be found financially liable for penalties. ISSMA not only frowns on posting videos online but we also want the judges at competitions to judge solely on the performance before them not on a video they have come across.
- We welcome you to take videos for your personal use and to post as many still photos as you wish! We are all so proud of these kids and their performances!
- Band Calendar The best way to stay up to date on Marching Band events is to check the calendar often! The online calendar is updated regularly and can be found here
- Amazon Wish List Marching Band takes a Village and LOTS of supplies! The PHHS Band Boosters have put together an Amazon Wish List to help stock our booster closet with the everyday items needed to support the band. We appreciate all of your hard work and your time donated to the band!
It takes the help of many, MANY family members and friends to successfully put on each performance. With teams for props, food, bus chaperones, pit crew, spirit team & transportation (just to name a few) there is a place for everyone to pitch in and be involved. Thank you for all you do to help our students and the band program.
